Beginning with Onslaught, Wizards of the Coast has discontinued
the production of patches for the Magic Interactive Encyclopedia, although they were promised for all future sets.
As an alternative,
Game Maker's Studio has made a free-ware database based upon Microsoft Access, named
Magic Analyst. However, it relies on
the large JPG images in the MtG:IE directory to function properly. Other parties have released
various patches from Onslaught onward. Unfortunately, the image quality and sizing of these patches is not the best in the world.
Therefore, I have begun scanning these sets in order to provide high-quality pictures for
use with the Magic Interactive Encyclopedia ("largejpg" folder). The images are also compatible with the Magic Analyst.
Currently, I have done Onslaught, Legions, Scourge, 8th Edition, Mirrodin, Darksteel, Fifth Dawn and Coldsnap. They can be downloaded by right-clicking on the links below.
